Information we collect

Account information. Signing in is required to use the app. When you sign in with Google or with an email and password, we collect your email address, and, if you provide one, your display name. Authentication is handled by Supabase, our backend provider.

Content you create. The app stores the content you create — bookmarks, highlights, notes, reflections, reading progress, and settings — so it can be synced across your devices.

AI chat messages. If you use the "Ask AI" feature, the questions you send are processed to generate a response. Please do not include sensitive personal information in chat messages.

We do not collect your precise location or contacts, we do not use advertising trackers, and the app contains no ads.

How we use your information

How your information is shared

We share data only with the service providers that make the app work: Supabase (authentication and storage), Google (if you choose "Sign in with Google"), and the AI provider that powers "Ask AI" (receives your chat questions to generate answers). We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and security

We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest.

Children's privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Account & data deletion

You can request deletion of your Gita Minute account and all associated data at any time — see our Account & Data Deletion page for how.
